Art and the city:
textiles project
Our personal project was based around art and the city, so using photographs of textures found in the city, I am creating a contemporary dress.
The design process, different design trials, and all the materials used in the bodice and shoulder piece.
The final design and annotation.
(Unfinished as time of submission) Actual piece.

Foliage:
In this project we made a large scale painting of foliage inspired by Tom Abbiss-Smith.
Monoprint of sycamore seeds.
A line drawing of the seeds from a sycamore tree.
Wet monoprint of a cheeseplant onto colourful ground.
Large biro drawing of foliage used in final piece.
Pattern used in background of final piece.
Small scale design.
Digital design and magazine cover:
The task was to create a magazine cover (using photoshop) around the theme of plants and vegetation.

The line drawings of plants were done by line drawing through observation.
To make the grounds for the cover I used a mixture of water colours, acrylic paint and poster paints, and mixed them together to get the unusual patterns and mixes of colour.
The final piece is a magazine cover created on photoshop inspired by vogue.
